Position Summary
Re-Imagine Ontario (RiO) is seeking a Part-Time Director to co-lead the organization through a period of growth and strategic development. Reporting to the ED, the Public Relations(PR) and Development Director will be responsible for supporting the implementation of RiO's newly developed strategic plan, building and nurturing key relationships within the community, building partnerships, acquire funding and driving the organization towards achieving its mission and objectives. This is a part-time contractual position up to 20 hours per week. This role is ideal for seniors (including retired executives), or youth, or members of the black community, as these are the communities that we serve.

Organization Summary
Re-Imagine Ontario is a registered charitable organization whose mission is to improve the health, education and employment of vulnerable individuals, with particular focus on black youth, through community networks, development opportunities, and family supports.

The Role
This role ideally requires leadership experience within the not-for-profit sector, and ability to cultivate and sustain meaningful partnerships. Must be able to co-lead a very small organization with limited resources and systems. Success in this position hinges on adept relationshipbuilding skills and a strategic approach to acquiring funding.

What you will be responsible for:
Leadership and Strategic Planning:
• Support the implementation of the organization's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with RiO's values and objectives.
• Work very closely with RiO’s leadership and foster a collaborative and inclusive organizational culture that promotes creativity and excellence.

Fundraising and Resource Development:(Key Function)
• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support for RiO's programs and initiatives.
• Identify and cultivate donors, sponsors, and funding agencies to diversify and expand funding base.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to support RiO's growth and sustainability.

Community Engagement and Relationship Building:
• Develop and build relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and government agencies to enhance RiO's impact and visibility.
• Represent RiO at community events, conferences, and meetings to raise awareness of the organization's mission and initiatives.
• Collaborate with local organizations and networks to leverage resources and maximize collective impact in serving vulnerable populations.

Program Management and Evaluation:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of RiO's programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to programmatic goals and objectives. • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and impact, utilizing data-driven approaches to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with program staff and volunteers to provide guidance, support, and resources for program implementation and development.

Board Governance and Administration:
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors (or representative) to provide updates on organizational activities, financial performance, and strategic priorities.
• Support the Board in governance, policy development, board recruitment, and decisionmaking.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, reporting obligations, and best practices in nonprofit management and governance.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required,(e.g., nonprofit management, public relations, social work, public administration, and related); Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, with a proven track record of success in fundraising, strategic planning, and program management.
• Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and serving marginalized communities, with a deep understanding of the issues facing black youth and other vulnerable populations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, community partners, and government officials.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate RiO's mission and impact to a variety of audiences.
• Strategic thinker able to analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, drive change.
• Proficiency in budget management, financial planning, and grant writing.
• Knowledge of nonprofit governance, compliance, and risk management practices.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to RiO's values of transparency, accountability, and integrity.

Compensation:
• This is a "Fundraising-based compensation" or "performance-based compensation" role.
• Salary will be based on funding you raise for charity. Specific funding sources have already been identified that we will be targeting, and the ED will work with you to realize these.
