Diversity and Inclusion

At Centre for Skills Development, diversity and inclusion are key components that drive our purpose.

We are privileged to have a culturally-rich workforce and we are honoured to serve, support, and provide services to diverse communities. We embrace the differences among one another, and we use that to leverage our effectiveness and organizational success. We respect, value and celebrate the unique attributes, characteristics and perspectives that make each person who they are. We also believe that bringing diverse individuals together allows us to collectively and more effectively address the issues that face our communities. Diverse viewpoints spark innovation and create solutions.

At our Centres, diversity is an all-inclusive concept. It includes differences among race, gender, age, national origin, ethnicity, disability, religion, culture, socio-economic status, sexual orientation and any other attributes that truly represent an individual or group.

Our Centres also recognize and acknowledge that some of our sites are located on the traditional territories of the Mississauga and Haudenosaunee Nations, and within the lands protected by the "Dish With One Spoon" Wampum agreement.

We understand that diversity is not only the obvious differences, but the less apparent as well. Individual lifestyles, work/life balance, interpersonal styles, life experiences, talents, and creative passions are all factors that contribute to a person’s culture or identity.

Our Centres embrace and celebrate differences. We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We welcome EVERYONE to our sites to participate in our programs and services.
