Superior Glove Works Ltd. is currently hiring for a Junior Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator to work out of its Global Headquarters.

This location for this onsite role is at 36 Vimy Street, Acton ON Canada.
More about the role:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Junior Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the purchasing function for the business. In conjunction with the rest of the purchasing team, they will ensure our supply chain runs smoothly and vendor relationships are maintained. Main functions are managing container set up in the ERP system and Acton raw material purchases
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) and non-inventory purchases.
- Collaborate with the Acton and North Carolina sites to confirm raw material (RM) requirements, ensuring timely PO placement and receipt.
- Negotiate pricing and sourcing details with vendors
- Track and manage inbound shipments of raw materials (RM) and finished goods (FG) for Canada and the USA, including estimating and recording freight costs for shipments and keeping cost templates up to date.
- Support the transition to NetSuite for the first three months by coordinating activities, updating/uploading information from the previous ERP system, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and provide raw material forecasts as needed.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on purchasing and inventory management.
- Manage the entire purchasing process from start to finish, adhering to company standards.
- Complete special projects or additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of supply management experience
- Post secondary degree / diploma in Supply Chain / Business Administration or related field
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Previous experience managing purchase orders required
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools and ERP system required (NetSuite preferred).
