Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gas Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency in welding and fabrication. The Gas Technician will ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with industry standards.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair gas lines, appliances, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
• Perform welding tasks as needed for system installations or repairs.
• Fabricate components as required for specific gas applications.
• Conduct routine inspections of gas systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with gas systems.
• Plumb gas lines according to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each task.
• Use tools such as calipers to measure components accurately during installations or repairs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Gas Technician or in a similar role within the gas industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to gas installations.
• Experience with welding techniques and equipment is preferred.
• Ability to fabricate parts as necessary for various projects.
• Familiarity with plumbing practices specific to gas systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety protocols and regulations in all aspects of work.
