Job Summary:

AVL Mfg. Inc. is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Production Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating material flow and overseeing the purchasing and procurement of goods to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. You will collaborate closely with the Production Team Managers and Project Managers/Purchasing to maintain continuous production schedules and meet delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate material flow and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to meet production requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Production Team Managers to anticipate material needs and avoid shortages or delays.
  • Work with purchasers and procurement teams on material delivery schedules, and ensuring quality standards.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure proper stock management to avoid overstocking or understocking of critical materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of material usage, purchases, and inventory levels in the system.
  • Monitor production schedules and communicate any potential delays or adjustments with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that production runs smoothly by providing timely updates on material status and delivery timelines.
  • Assist in resolving material shortages or issues impacting the production schedule.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best pricing and reliable service.
  • Work closely with the logistics team to ensure on-time delivery and effective transportation management.
  • Support the Production Managers in identifying cost-saving opportunities in material procurement and inventory management.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in production coordination, material procurement, or inventory management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with production scheduling, material planning, or supply chain management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Visual ERP knowledge a plus
  • PC/Microsoft product knowledge
