Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Crew Member to join our small scale family farm. We specialise in heirloom vegetables and organic microgreens. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks that support the daily operations of our farm. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors. The Farm Crew Member will contribute to maintaining the farm's productivity and ensuring the health of crops and livestock
Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including heavy equipment and power tools.
• Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops as per seasonal requirements.
• Irrigate fields and gardens efficiently to ensure optimal growth conditions.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Utilize hand tools for various tasks such as weeding, pruning, and general upkeep of the farm.
• Carry out heavy lifting tasks as needed, including moving supplies and harvested products.
• Monitor crop health and report any issues or concerns to the farm manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency.
• Maintain Livestock Coops
• Maintain Horses, Train Horses as needed
• Attend Farmers markets
• Work in Greenhouse/Gardens, Indoors/Outdoors
• May be required to work early mornings
• Plant/harvest Crops
• Seasonal Hay Season duties
Skills
• Keen Interest of learning
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and farm machinery safely (ability to learn)
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Ability to use power tools effectively for various farming tasks.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems for effective water management.
• Basic math skills for measuring areas, calculating quantities, and managing supplies.
• Experience with gardening techniques and crop care practices is a plus.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in farming activities.
• Horse Experience
• Ability to Ride Horses and Train as Necessary

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
