Want to chat in English with other Newcomers to Canada? Join Our Newcomer Conversation Circles! Come join us in person at our local libraries in Burlington and Oakville! This is a wonderful opportunity for newcomers to connect with more experienced Newcomers. Share your experiences with other newcomers to Canada, practice your English conversation skills, and learn more about Canadian culture and community in a friendly environment.
Newcomer Conversation Circle (NCC)
When and Where:
- Burlington: Alton Library, Every Monday from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
- Oakville: Glen Abbey, Library Every Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Oakville: Sixteen Mile Branch, bi-weekly Tuesdays from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
- Milton, Centre for Skills office, Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and Fridays from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Who Can Join?
This program is open to Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees with English skills at CLB level 4/5.
Seniors Conversation Circle (SCC)
Are you a senior looking to stay socially connected? Join our online Seniors Conversation Circle! This program is perfect for practicing English, sharing experiences, and learning about Canadian culture—all from the comfort of your home.
When and Where:
Every Thursday from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, on-line via Zoom (link will be sent to you after registration)
Who Can Join?
This program is open to Permanent Residents and Convention Refugees ages 55+ with English skills at CLB level 4/5.
