We were thrilled to have Jane McKenna, MPP Burlington join us yesterday at our Skilled Trades site to announce the $214,105 funding for our Industrial Millwright/Mechanic & Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship for Youth program for another intake!
Free for youth ages 30 and under, this 26-week program is offered in partnership with the Government of Ontario to support the demand for skilled trades. Participants receive training in two trades ensuring graduates have numerous careeth paths, a relevant skill set, shop experience and safety certifications.
From our 2018-2019 skilled trades programs, 93% of Centre for Skilled Trades students found employment in their respective fields.
