I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially graduated from CREW – my Residential Electrical and Carpentry Pre-Apprenticeship program with the Centre for Skills Development This experience has been nothing short of transformative, equipping me with the skills and confidence to bring projects to life from the ground up.
One of the highlights of this journey was working on a 500 sq. ft. home build, where I had the opportunity to get hands-on with every stage of construction, including:
• Framing: Turning blueprints into a solid structure
• Insulation & Drywall: Installing, mudding, and taping for smooth, finished walls
• Flooring: Laying down hardwood, laminate, and tile with precision
• Trim, Doors & Windows: Adding the finishing touches that make a house feel like home
• Electrical Work: Wiring the entire house, from planning circuits to installing fixtures
Seeing this project come together piece by piece was an incredible experience, and it solidified my passion for building and problem-solving.
A big thank you to my instructors, mentors, and fellow students who supported me along the way. This is just the beginning—I’m excited to take on new challenges, continue learning, and contribute my skills to future projects.
