TAKE your TEA with the Good People at Tradeslink Ontario!
By Misty Knight, Program Coordinator, Tradeslink Ontario with Marcella Jager
Over the past two months, one key insight we, the staff at Tradeslink Ontario have seen is that many internationally trained tradespeople are still attempting to navigate the Trade Equivalency Assessment (TEA) process on their own before reaching out for support. By the time they connect with us, they’ve often experienced delays due to incomplete documentation or misunderstandings about requirements.
What’s becoming even clearer is how valuable early intervention is. When internationally trained and experienced trades professionals connect with TradesLink Ontario at the very beginning, we’re able to:
- Help them understand the specific documentation Skilled Trades Ontario requires
- Prevent avoidable delays in the TEA process
- Clarify timelines and expectations
- Connect them sooner to employer networks and job opportunities
- Reduce financial stress by identifying eligibility for credentialing cost support, for the trades currently supported
We’re also noticing that many tradespeople don’t realize that support is available for FREE, and that credentialing fees may be covered for qualifying participants.
So, if you are an internationally trained and experienced trades professional, and you want to avoid application delays and “incomplete” returns, get free step-by-step support and connections to employers while completing certification, contact us at Tradeslink Ontario !
And if you come in person, we could have a cup of tea while we discuss your TEA (Trades Equivalency Assessment).
