Four months into my Electrical & Millwright Pre-Apprenticeship Program with Centre for Skills Development and I couldn’t be more excited about how much I’ve learned in this 4 month!


Hands-on training has given me the chance to work with:

• Motor and motor control fundamentals
• Gearboxes and mechanical systems
• Electrical wiring, pulling, and roughing-in
• Application of electrical code
• Pneumatic systems and troubleshooting

I can’t say enough about the instructors, both Scott Wigley and Alan Dunning, thank you for making the learning process both challenging and rewarding. Your support has given me the confidence to take on real-world challenges.

2 more month and I will be ready to take the next step and apply these skills through an apprenticeship opportunity in the electrical or millwright trade. I’m excited continue my learning and growing in this career path in this pre-apprenticeship with Centre for Skills.
