Workplace Language Training – Customer Service
I am thrilled to have participated in the customer service course offered by the Centre for Skills and Development. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our instructors, Angela and Melissa, for their exceptional support and dedication. From start to finish, they were passionate, devoted, and committed to helping each student individually to succeed. They also created a very comfortable and welcoming environment, encouraging us to share our experiences and thoughts. Their use of breakout rooms for practice sessions was an excellent way to engage with one another, build connections, and strengthen our understanding of the material. Each lesson was different, keeping us always engaged and curious about what’s coming next.
While the course title emphasizes customer service, its scope was much broader. The program covered a wide range of insightful topics designed to prepare us for success in the Canadian workplace. The choice of the guest speakers was outstanding, offering diverse perspectives and practical advice that greatly enriched our learning experience. Angela and Melissa went above and beyond, providing personalized coaching to help us refine our resumes, practice interview techniques, and boost our confidence. Their support made every challenge feel manageable, and their encouragement was a constant source of motivation.
I would also like to thank the Centre for Skills and Development team for their unwavering support and the resources they provided. Their efforts ensured that every newcomer felt welcomed and valued and supported during our journey.
I highly recommend it to any newcomers looking to enhance their skills, to embrace the Canadian culture, and build enough confidence to be ready to start a career in Canada.
