Language Instruction for Newcomers in Canada

Join our Free English Classes! We offer Free English Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC). Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) LEVELS 1 – 6. Our classes will  improve your English language skills to help you find work and settle into life in Canada.

 

You can join our free summer classes online or in-person in Oakville, Burlington or Milton.

Learn and practice your English with certified (OCELT) and knowledgeable instructors! 

  • Learn & develop your English with a focus on listening & speaking skills 
  • Improve your reading & writing skills with in- class and online assignments 
  • Increase your CLB levels with weekly assessments and skill using activities
  • Practice your conversation skills in a fun and lively way with smaller breakout groups 
  • Improve your grammar and pronunciation
  • Meet new friends and socialize in a comfortable setting 

On-line

On-line classes (via Zoom):

  • Morning classes: Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Afternoon classes: Monday to Friday – 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM
  • Evening classes: Monday to Wednesday – 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
  • For all our online classes, learners are expected to use a computer or laptop with a functional camera turned on during class.

In-person

In-person classes are held in Oakville, Burlington or Milton:

  • Morning classes: Monday to Friday – 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon classes: Monday to Friday – 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Weekly homework/assignments will be given as extra practice offline. Instruction times/days may change based on enrollment.

Eligibility

Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees or temporary residents with a VISA from Gaza who:

  • Have an up-to-date CLB skill level assessment (if you do not have this, we can book an assessment for you)
  • Are adult immigrants (18+) who are residents of Ontario
