Key Responsibilities:
* Technical interpretation and planning of work orders; Read and understand technical drawings, work-orders, and BOMs to determine material types, quantities, and layout dimensions
* Fabrication and Welding: Follow defined procedures to fit, tack, weld, and assemble parts and products.
Maintain tight tolerances (within 3mm) to ensure precision and quality
* Material Handling: Pick and prepare parts, hardware, and subassemblies as per job specifications. Use various tools like shears, mills, drill presses, saws, and iron workers for cutting and shaping
* Reporting and Documentation; Log material usage and time spent on each project daily. Complete quality control checklists and resolve any non-conformities identified
* Workplace Organization and Safety; Keep the work area clean and well-organized. Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Work safely, adhering to internal policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
* General Duties; Carry out additionaltasks like cleaning, grinding, cutting, or any duty that supports productionand customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience with MIG welding Aluminum
* Familiar with CBW environment and previously certified under CSA W47.4 and/or W47.2
* Strong blueprint reading and interpret skills
* Detailed oriented and highly organized
* Strong mathematical skills
* Excellent verbal communicationskills
* Solid understanding of welding and welding procedures and knowledge of metalworking & equipment, tools, materials and processing techniques
* Must have own transportation to getto work location
