Full job description

A Burlington construction company is looking for a dependable and self-driven Warehouse Operations Specialist to independently manage all aspects of our warehouse facility. This is a solo role requiring a high level of responsibility, organization, and hands-on work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working alone, performing physical tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the warehouse and surrounding areas.

This position goes beyond typical warehouse duties and includes basic facility maintenance, snow removal, and support for vehicle and equipment logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliveries & Pickups: Handle the scheduling, loading, and unloading of materials and equipment for daily operations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and ensure proper organization of materials and tools.
  • Fleet Management: Coordinate basic maintenance, inspections, and scheduling of company vehicles and equipment. Ensuring all fleet operations comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Warehouse Organization: Ensure the warehouse is well-organized, clean, and operates efficiently to support daily business operations.
  • Snow Removal & Outdoor Tasks: Perform snow removal and  other physical tasks to keep the warehouse exterior and access areas safe and
    operational, especially during winter.
  • Basic Facility Maintenance: Conduct light maintenance tasks around the warehouse (e.g., minor repairs, cleaning, upkeep) to ensure the
    facility remains in good working condition.
  • Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Communicate with vendors to manage inventory needs and ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow and promote compliance of safety regulations and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a  similar role.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically capable of performing manual tasks and lifting heavy items.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and maintain complex spreadsheets is required; familiarity with inventory systems
    is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks (certification is required).
  • General knowledge of tools, equipment, and vehicle maintenance is helpful.
