Salary Range: $22.10 To $23.10 Hourly
Hours are: Monday to Thursday from 3:30pm – 12:00am and Fridays from 3:00pm to 11:00pm.

We are currently recruiting for the temporary contract position of Warehouse / Operator Associates to work Afternoons in its Global Headquarters located in Acton, ON, Canada.

More about the role:
Reporting to the Team Leader on afternoon shift, the Warehouse / Operator Associate is responsible for filling orders accurately and efficiently. This individual is also responsible for product preparation, finishing, quality assurance, and act as back up operator for the Dip Line. As Operator back up the individual would be responsible for ensuring the Dip Line is operating in safe and proper manner to produce a high-quality product that meets the high standard set by Superior Glove.

This individual is highly skilled at quality assurance, is detail oriented, has warehouse experience, forklift operation, understands general mechanics, is a good problem solver and has experience working within a manufacturing setting. 

Responsibilities:

  • Place gloves on hand forms on the dip line machine; hands and wrists dexterity and strength required for this task
  • Verify orders and ensure accurate labelling
  • Communicate quality issues as they arise
  • Picking orders using a handheld device – using various warehouse machines to retrieve orders from different rooms and heights while identifying order specifications
  • Packing / processing orders into appropriate boxes according to sizing, model, order, colour, etc.
  • Responsible for general upkeep of each workstation, ensuring clean for next person on rotation
  • Back up Operator duties include all activities from pre-dipping preparation, start up and operation of dip line to post dip operations
  • Chemical batching, and trouble shooting manufacturing equipment

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum one (1) year working experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
  • Experience and comfortable with chemicals and basic chemistry
  • Forklift experience & certification
  • Working at Heights Certification
  • Previous experience operating and maintaining production machinery is considered an asset
  • Good communication skills with the ability to follow oral and written instruction
  • Attention to detail to follow quality standards and meet customer packing requirements
  • Math and measurement skills to ensure accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability with hand and wrist motion, to sort, place gloves on hand forms, use stamping and packing machinery and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
