Title: Shipper/Receiver

JOB SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic team in Milton. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly — ensuring
materials, parts, and products move efficiently through our facility and out to our customers. If you take pride in accuracy, safety, and teamwork, this position is a great fit for you.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Order Fulfillment: Pull and prepare orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.
- Receiving: Inspect, verify, and document incoming goods against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Material Handling: Load and unload transport trucks (closed vans, flatbeds, step decks, containers) using a forklift or other equipment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain organized and accurate inventory records; report discrepancies promptly.
- Documentation: Ensure all shipping documents are complete, accurate, and match open orders.
- Warehouse Support: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe; assist with general labor tasks as needed.
- Quality & Safety: Report damages or irregularities and assist with claims for in-transit damage.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITITES:
- Package and prepare outgoing shipments, including out-of-town orders.
- Assist in maintaining shipping and receiving areas, ensuring compliance with company safety standards.
- Support other departments or projects as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in varying temperatures (cold winters, hot summers).
- Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to safety.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Basic reading, math, and communication skills required.
- Minimum 1 year of shipping/receiving and forklift operation experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
- Forklift operator certification preferred but not required.
- Must successfully pass in-house forklift training and certification.
