Happy Holiday Decor has been providing professional Christmas light installation services in the Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga, Hamilton for over 20 years.

We are currently looking to hire a few seasonal workers for our upcoming Christmas light installation season, running from approximately October through the end of November.

Position: Seasonal Christmas Light Installer

Employment Period: October to end of November

Starting Wage: $23/hour – no experience required; training provided

Experienced Wage: Up to $28/hour for applicants with relevant experience

For employees starting at $23/hour, wage increases will be based on demonstrated performance rather than length of service alone. We will consider factors such as:

  • How quickly the employee learns our installation methods and procedures
  • Ability to complete installations correctly with less supervision
  • Quality and neatness of completed work
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality
  • Safe and proper use of ladders, tools and equipment
  • Reliability, punctuality and consistent attendance
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a crew
  • Ability to identify and solve basic installation problems
  • Overall productivity and contribution to the crew

Employees who demonstrate strong performance and become productive, dependable installers may receive wage increases during the season, with pay reaching up to $28/hour depending on experience, skill level and performance.

The work involves installing professional Christmas lights on residential and commercial properties. It is physically demanding outdoor work and involves carrying and setting up ladders, climbing ladders and working at heights.

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Reliable, punctual and able to commit to the full season
  • Physically capable of working full days outdoors
  • Comfortable with ladders and working at heights
  • Quick learners who take pride in the quality of their work
  • Able to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a crew
  • Able to arrange reliable transportation to work

Christmas light installation experience is not required, as we provide training. However, previous experience in roofing, construction, farming, agriculture, landscaping, nursery work or other physically demanding outdoor work would be an asset.

We are also happy to consider newcomers, temporary residents or other seasonal workers, provided they are legally authorized to work for our company in Canada.
