Job Summary 


We are seeking a motivated New Business Development Sales Representative to focus on acquiring new customers and expanding our market presence. This role is best suited for a proactive professional who enjoys identifying opportunities, building strong initial relationships, and guiding prospects through the sales process. While collaboration with our internal teams is important, the main priority is developing new business and bringing fresh accounts into the company. 

 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Proactively identify and engage potential new customers through market research, prospecting, networking, referrals, and outreach. 
  • Represent the company at trade shows, community events, and industry functions to build connections and generate qualified leads. 
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of new opportunities, consistently moving prospects forward in the sales cycle. 
  • Conduct introductory and discovery meetings to understand customer needs and present appropriate solutions. 
  • Work with inside sales and CSR teams to prepare professional quotations and proposals for new business. 
  • Analyze sales activity and market data to uncover trends and customer acquisition opportunities. 
  • Provide regular reports on pipeline activity, new account progress, and overall business development efforts. 
  • Stay informed on printing and marketing industry trends, competitor activity, and new product innovations. 
  • Transition new accounts to the account management team to ensure long-term success and customer satisfaction. 

Key Qualifications 

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or a related customer-facing role (printing/marketing industry experience an asset but not required). 
  • Strong prospecting skills and comfort with outreach, networking, and initiating new conversations. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly. 
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to the team. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales cycle.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office (or equivalent).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for customer visits and events.
