Job Summary:
The Production Operator ensures the safe and efficient operation of the Dip Line to produce high-quality products. Responsibilities include maintenance, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.

Location: This position is based out of: Acton, Ontario
Role Responsibilities:
Pre-Dipping Preparation – 30% of Time
- Ensure all dip tanks, drip trays, liners, mixers, are prepared and in place, prior to production.
- Batch mixing, weighing, and measuring compounds Ensure all dipping compounds and solutions are ready and in
place along with all housekeeping of dipping room and compounding lab prior to production run.
- Review production process control report and retrieve product
- Preventative maintenance of stations as required
- Assure product traceability after product counts completed in a timely manner to meet packing department requirement to fulfill orders
- Preventative maintenance on stations as required
Start up and Operations of Dip Line – 40% of Time
- Fill up required tanks in preparation for production
- Check all process parameters at specified intervals, including troubleshooting each station to ensure parameters are within specifications, and complete all process control documents
- When necessary, stop the machine in a safe manner, troubleshoot and repair when required
- Communicate progress to Team Leader including issues and irregularities
- Assure all liners and bins are readily available for loading and take off personnel
- Assure all finished product is properly labeled
- Quality control testing documentation completion as required
- Assure all finished products are properly transferred to packing department after quality control tests
Ongoing Responsibilities – Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Education
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills
- Math skills required to ensure order/mixing accuracy (testing is part of the recruitment process)
- Communication skills are essential to be able to work with all departments and outside contacts
- Forklift license required (training to be provided if required)
- Basic computer skills are essential
- Ability to complete charts, reports and perform calculations as required.
- Demonstrate an ability to work safely in following all procedures including chemicals procedures and ladder safety
Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires
- One to three years previous production experience in a machine/line operator role

- Work and operate equipment per the company safety rules and regulations

- Follow and comply with all operational procedures and policies as stated in the Employee Handbook, Safety, Customer Service, Quality
and Environmental programs Must be well versed in proper health and safety regulations for the manufacturing environment
- Must operate the Dip Line in a safe manner or serious injury/property damage could occur.
