Provide basic personal care for medically stable patients with activities of daily living such as: bathing, changing, dressing, toileting, skin care, socialization.
Perform meal preparation and household cleaning duties such as dishes, laundry, taking out garbage.
Require travel within assigned region between patients’ residences or facilities.
Position Requirements
Supportive Care Worker Certificate, Healthcare Aide Certificate, or completion of Term 1 of a PSW program.
Effective English communication skills, written and verbal.
Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months) as a condition of employment.
Current CPR & First Aid Certificate.
Ability to work with clients in a caring, compassionate, tactful and courteous manner.
Speaking in other languages is an asset: English, Hindi, Urdu, Swahili, Italian, Portuguese.
All new staff will be required to be available Monday – Sunday.
