Personal Support Worker/Home Support Worker

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic personal care for medically stable patients with activities of daily living such as: bathing, changing, dressing, toileting, skin care, socialization.
• Perform meal preparation and household cleaning duties such as dishes, laundry, taking out garbage.
• Require travel within assigned region between patients’ residences or facilities.

Position Requirements

• Supportive Care Worker Certificate, Healthcare Aide Certificate, or completion of Term 1 of a PSW program.
• Effective English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months) as a condition of employment.
• Current CPR & First Aid Certificate.
• Ability to work with clients in a caring, compassionate, tactful and courteous manner.
• Speaking in other languages is an asset: English, Hindi, Urdu, Swahili, Italian, Portuguese.
• All new staff will be required to be available Monday – Sunday.
