About the Position: 

In this role, you will provide the first line of communications with members when they contact the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association office (CNLA). The Member Services team member will provide administrative support to all member programs including database updates, new member packages, program growth and promotion. To deliver member requests in relations to member affinity programs. To assist with projects and administrative services and office support. Provide monthly updates, reports, and assist the Member Services and Administration Manager in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

To include the following but not limited to: 

  • Provide member service information to members as a first priority.
  • Provide general clerical duties such as reception, filing, mail, email distribution, courier.
  • Mail out new member packages on a monthly basis, conduct monthly call campaigns to new members promoting benefit programs, as well as an annual call campaign to all members.
  • Conduct calling campaigns as needed to gather and promote project-related information for the commodities. 
  • To assist in arranging conference calls and committee meetings, and participating on conference calls including minute-taking. 
  • Provide administrative support to Member Services, Growers Canada, Garden Centres Canada, and Landscape Canada Committee’s.
  • Assist with monthly communications (i.e. e-bulletins) for Member Services and Commodities.
  • Research assignments and designing presentations, working closely with the provincial associations.
  • Promoting commodity programs through regional tradeshows and events  
  • Update membership databases. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Skills: 

  • Relevant university degree or college diploma preferred
  • Fluent in English with strong writing skills
  • Working French language skills are a strong asset
  • Marketing and sales knowledge and experience an asset
  • Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel) 
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to multitask and work in accordance to timelines and deadlines
  • Adaptable personality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team player
