Full job description

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished products
  • Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers to perform assembly tasks –
  • Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machine
  • Perform basic machining and welding operations as required
  • Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs
  • Operate forklift to transport or position larger parts
  • Inspect finished products for proper functioning, quality and adherence to specifications
  • Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs
  • Receive and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist
  • Pick, Pack and ship orders accurately
  • Document work completed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

  • Mechanical knowledge and aptitude
  • Manual dexterity and Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
  • Experience with soldering, machining, welding, or other related skills is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred
  • Handling heavy loads

Schedule:
