Job Description
A Light Duty Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas, performing tasks such as dusting, mopping, and sanitizing to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning Tasks: Perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in residential buildings common areas.
- Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recyclables properly, ensuring bins are emptied and liners replaced regularly.
- Restocking Supplies: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries in restrooms and common areas to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Inspection and Reporting: Conduct routine inspections of cleaning areas to ensure the standards are met and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
- Specialized Cleaning: Carry out deep cleaning tasks as needed, such as carpet cleaning, window washing, and floor waxing, using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cleanliness and the ability to notice areas that require additional attention.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage time to complete all assigned tasks within the designated time frames.
- Communication Skills: Good interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Experience: Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is preferred but not always required.
Work Environment:
Light Duty Cleaners may work in various settings such as condominiums and buildings facilities. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team, and shifts vary based on the client or business needs.
