Job Summary
Candidate will help in general production baking duties, decoration of various style European desserts, working alongside our experienced Pastry Chefs, preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring consistency and excellence in every item. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for baking, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Rate of Pay: $17.50
Duties:
- Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing and baking a wide variety of pastries and desserts following established recipes and techniques.
- Support daily operation, ingredient prep, and batch production as directed.
- Assist with decorating, plating, and packaging pastries for service, display, or sale.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry stations, equipment, and storage areas in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pastry, baking, or kitchen role preferred (1 year required).
- Basic knowledge of food safety, kitchen sanitation, and baking methods.
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate preferred
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions with precision.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Good communication skills and a positive team-player attitude.
