Rate of Pay: $21–$25 an hour – Permanent, Full-time

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Knows how to correctly cut to measure and assemble and produce all types of tarps, flaps and related components.
  • Knowledgeable on how to sew, weld and manufacture tarps and their component parts.
  • Responsible for correctly reading and interpreting work orders, identify and select correct material for manufacture.
  • Cut material to the correct size for manufacturing all parts of the tarp.
  • Install tubing and Velcro into/onto component parts.
  • Complete mobile tarp repairs for customer service for all drive –through tarp repairs.
  • Communicates daily with production and purchasing on any issues or requests for materials for the tarp shop.
  • Responsible for creating masks for graphics for tarps as required.
  • Assists with packaging all finished goods for shipping when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate should have a minimum of 1 year in industrial fabric manufacturing.
  • Candidate must have a high school diploma and speak English
  • Candidate should have good manual dexterity.
  • Candidate should be able to read and correctly interpret technical line drawings for tarp manufacture and measurement.
  • Candidate should be physically fit, be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift 50 lbs.
  • Capable of using and maintaining single and double needle sewing machines.
  • Familiar with the use of air welders or can be successfully trained.
  • Should have creative mind and interest in seeing something being built from nothing.
  • Should have mild mechanical aptitude working with hands, tape measures, manual and automatic cutters.
