Oakridge is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Grounds Superintendent for the Brantford, Kitchener, and London areas to oversee year-round exterior maintenance operations for commercial properties.

Reports To: Grounds Manager

Location: Brantford/Kitchener/London area

Pay: $60,000 to 70,000 Annually

Job Duties:

Our Grounds Superintendent works to ensure our crews operate with the utmost care and efficiency to reflect a high standard of workmanship. The following is intended only as a general description and should be considered the minimum required to fulfill this job role.

  • Maintain knowledge of site layouts and key infrastructure (alarm panels, roof hatches, hydrants, utility rooms, etc.).
  •  Supervise and coordinate multiple grounds-keeping properties & crews.
  • Manage outdoor janitorial services.
  • Plan and coordinate snow and ice removal operations during winter.
  • Ensure all work meets contractual scope and service standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, address maintenance needs and make timely decisions to resolve operational issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 – 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • An asset: Degree or diploma in Horticulture, Construction, Landscape, Applied Technology, or Construction Management.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make quick and smart decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and general maintenance practice.
