Rate of pay: $22.00-$26.00
These positions will involve physically demanding work, including concrete repair,
material handling, and structural support.
Job Description:
- Load, unload and transport construction materials.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades.
- Execute tasks related to concrete formwork, reinforcing steel installation, and pouring/finishing for bridge structures.
- Operate and maintain tools related to concrete construction, such as drills, saws, grinders, trowels, vibrators, and other power tools.
- Assist with setting up and stripping formwork, installing scaffolding, and erecting shoring and falsework as required.
- Ensure the precise placement of concrete, including leveling and smoothing surfaces, using hand and power tools.
- Comply with all workplace safety regulations and company policies, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general site duties such as site clean-up, unloading/loading materials, and moving equipment as necessary.
- Work effectively in a team environment while also taking responsibility for individual tasks and contributing to team success.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), operating hand and power tools, and working in various weather conditions.
- Capability to work long hours, including potential overtime, weekends.
- Commitment to workplace safety, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- Knowledge of proper grading, leveling, and alignment techniques for concrete structures.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently when needed.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
