POSITION SUMMARY
Nartech Metal Products Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and production equipment. The employer is open to candidates at all apprenticeship levels, with a preference for individuals with exposure to an industrial or metal-stamping environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install electrical wiring, conduit/cable, equipment, apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of production equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Maintain the necessary tools required to perform assigned work.
  • Comply with applicable safety and ESA rules and regulations.
  • Promote safe work practices and support the organization’s safety culture.
  • Take personal accountability for safe work practices across assigned projects, activities and operations.

REQUIRED / RECOMMENDED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • No previous experience necessary; employer is open to all levels of Electrical Apprentice.
  • Industrial experience, particularly within a metal-stamping environment, is preferred.
  • EMT and wiring-methods experience required.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Ability to take direction from maintenance and management teams while also working independently.
  • Strong task-prioritization, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Relevant safety training may include Fall Protection, Scissor Lift and government-approved Working at Heights.
