Driver/Skilled Labour
Rate of Pay: $22.00-$25.00
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Erect and dismantle forms, panels, scaffolding, ramps, shoring,
and barricades required at construction sites
- Building and setting up formwork/Strip forms
- Work with a variety of hand tools, power tools and equipment
used in concrete construction.
- Keep tools, equipment, and jobsite clean and maintained
- Follow safety protocols at all times
- Assists in the installation of traffic control devices and
barriers in accordance with the Ontario Traffic Manual.
- Construction of elevated platforms, supports and structures
providing a safe working at heights environment.
 Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bridge and road work construction an
asset employer is willing to train.
- Capable of working proactively and taking initiative
independently as well and in team setting
- Strong work ethic, interpersonal and communication skills
required
- Ability to handle physically demanding work such as lifting
and carrying 50+ lbs, standing, walking, digging, bending
- Ability to work evening and weekend when required
- Full G license or equivalent with a clean driver’s abstract
is an asset
- Committed to maintaining safety requirements and standards
- Undertake major bridge rehabilitation work including the
removal of concrete and steel as directed by Bridge Foreman
