Description of duties and components of job:
- Communicate effectively with our customers, and manage their expectations
- Install low voltage cable for security cameras, card access systems, and alarm systems
- Mount and focus IP cameras
- Mount and terminate alarm panels
- Mount network racks and wall enclosures
- Arrive on time, and ready to work
- Keep a professional appearance and work space and within company vehicles
- Run/Fish low voltage cabling in residential and commercial settings
- Complete clean and organized cable management and industry standard termination practices
- Service and complete maintenance on residential & commercial alarm systems, access control systems, and camera systems
- Install new alarm system, access control systems, and camera hardware
- Programming and setup of alarm systems, access control systems, and camera systems
Requirements:
- Experience with basic hand tools, demonstrating your practical skills and precision
- A valid Ontario “G” Driver’s License, with an impeccable Driver’s Abstract
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Trouble shooting skills
- Highly organized and attentive to detail
- Strong computer skills
- Basic experience; Running cable, installing & servicing field devices, programming
- Able to read and understand manuals for installations and/or troubleshooting
Technologist Certificate or Computer Networking Courses preferred.
