Ironwood Co. is a growing woodworking and millwork company focused on high-quality custom furniture, millwork, cabinetry, and detailed interior woodwork. We’re looking for a skilled woodworker to join our shop team and grow with us.

$20.00-$25.00 per hour

THE ROLE

  • Build custom furniture, millwork, cabinetry, and architectural woodwork from raw material through finished piece.
  • Work with solid hardwoods, plywood, MDF, melamine, and other sheet goods.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, dimensions, details, and construction requirements.
  • Set up and safely operate woodworking machinery including sliding table saws, planers, sanders, shapers, routers, and related equipment.
  • Perform accurate machining, fitting, assembly, sanding, and finishing preparation.
  • Measure accurately, maintain tight tolerances, and produce clean, repeatable work.
  • Troubleshoot problems, identify issues early, and determine practical solutions.
  • Keep the shop clean, organized, safe, and ready for production.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone with hands-on woodworking experience who wants to continue developing their craft. You should be comfortable working independently while contributing to a small, collaborative team.

  • Experience in finish carpentry, cabinetmaking, furniture making, millwork, or a related trade.
  • Confident reading drawings and understanding dimensions and construction details.
  • Experience safely operating professional woodworking machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Able to work efficiently without constant supervision and take ownership of the finished result.
  • Motivated, reliable, communicative, and willing to keep learning.

EXPERIENCE
Required

  • Professional woodworking, finish carpentry, cabinetmaking, furniture making, or millwork experience.
  • Ability to read drawings and work from dimensions.
  • Experience safely operating woodworking machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Assets

  • Custom furniture or architectural millwork experience.
  • Experience working with solid hardwoods and advanced joinery.
  • CNC or other production machinery experience.
  • Formal woodworking or carpentry training.

THE SHOP

You’ll work in a professional shop environment equipped for custom furniture and millwork production. Our equipment includes sliding table saws, planers, sanders, shapers, routers, and other woodworking tools. We care about doing things properly—from material selection and machining through assembly and the final details.
