ABOUT THE ROLE
GS CNC Solutions is a precision machining company specializing in custom machining, CNC manufacturing, industrial repairs, refurbishment, and reverse engineering. We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist who can independently set up, modify programs, and operate CNC milling and turning machines while producing high-quality precision components.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Set up and operate CNC milling and CNC turning machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD drawings, and machining specifications.
- Modify existing CNC programs and make minor programming adjustments.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, workholding, and machining parameters.
- Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring equipment.
- Produce precision parts while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize cycle times, and manage tool offsets.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain production records.
- Work collaboratively with programmers and supervisors to improve manufacturing efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
- Experience independently setting up CNC milling and/or CNC turning machines.
- Strong blueprint reading skills and experience with G-code editing and program modifications.
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality control.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
- Experience with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls.
- CAD/CAM experience (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar software).
- Experience with 4-axis machining, custom machining, or low-volume production.
- Reverse engineering or mechanical assembly experience.
