We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily operations at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This leadership role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and ERP systems to drive operational excellence and support company growth.
Duties:
- Lead and coordinate all plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
- Manage supply chain activities, including inventory control, procurement, and logistics, utilizing MRP and ERP systems such as SAP.
- Oversee assembly processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for enhancement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.
- Train and develop staff to enhance skills related to manufacturing, quality control, and process optimization.
- Prepare reports on production metrics and operational issues for executive management.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in manufacturing management or plant supervision within a similar industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP or similar platforms, along with MRP functionalities.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory control and logistics coordination.
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and reducing costs.
- Background in quality control processes and assembly operations is highly desirable.
