Supply Staff – Day Care

Rate of Pay: From $17.60 an hour Part time

 The ideal candidates would be flexible, energetic, engaging, adaptable and reliable. He/she will have good communication skills in order to effectively communicate with parents, staff, and students as well as the ability to use tact, discretion and good judgment. These individuals are capable of working with minimum supervision within a multicultural environment and can respect and work with a diverse range of children and families of all backgrounds and abilities.

 All successful applicants are required to have a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check dated within the last six months, up-to-date immunizations, and a valid Standard First Aid & CPR C/AED certification prior to employment.

 Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates pursuing education in Early Childhood Development would be preferred.
• Experience in child care, food service, or custodial work is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and shift between tasks as required.
• Strong communication skills and a cooperative, team‑focused attitude.
• Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks related to cleaning and meal service.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and maintain professionalism.
