Accounting Assistant
Responsibilities
- Managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Inventory
- Preparing & creating invoices for clients with different criteria, inclusive of monthly billing
- Accurately keep track of sales orders and processing
- Manage and invoice licensing products and yearly renewals
- Reconciling statements (credit card, supplier invoices) and bank deposits
- Follow up on past due invoices
- Performing trips to the bank to make deposits when required
- Assist in Inventory control and Year End closing
- Answer and re-direct phone calls and take adequate messages
- Support the Controller and back up for General Manager
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic Accounting skills required
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Accounting software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytic problem-solving and strong multitasking skills
- Have a positive, professional attitude and take initiative
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday Expected hours: 24-32 hours per week
Work Location: In person and remote options available
Ability to commute/relocate: Mississauga location (Dundas & Ridgeway area)
Education: College / University education (preferred)
Experience: Accounting Software: 1 year (preferred)
Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
Language: Proficient in English
