Jarlian Construction in Milton is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manage/Bookkeeper to oversee daily administrative operations within the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, maintaining accounting systems, and ensuring smooth office functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answering Phones
- Preparing Quotes/Invoices
- Manage and maintain accounting software such as QuickBooks to ensure accurate financial records
- Maintaining a filing system on the computer and hard copies for office.
- Experience with working with Progress Billing
- Full cycle accounting – AP, AR, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, Credit Card Statement Reconciliations, Preparing CRA Monthly Remittances; Source Deductions/Corp. Tax Remittances
- Processing Quarterly Gov’t Remittances; HST and WSIB
- Year-end processing of the company’s books.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documentation
Skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports
- Responsible for providing assistance, information, and support to customers
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members
- Construction background is an asset!
- Must have Quickbooks desktop experience, needs to have the capability to navigate with Word and Excel.
- Some knowledge of working with Adobe software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
