Summary
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician II is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality. Servicing and repairing complex equipment. Complies with applicable regulations and the department’s Safety program.
Pay: $31.00 – $44.00 per hour according to experience and skills
Permanent full-time job – 40 hours week plus overtime when
required
Work: On-site (Address: 16 Cleve Ct, Halton Hills, ON L7G 0L7)
Essential Functions:
- Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment.
- Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
- Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
- Performs corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
- Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
- Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
- Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
- Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanic.
Experience: Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
- Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
- Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
- Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
- Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
- Must have a good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.
- Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience is preferred.
