Opportunities are based out of Dartmouth or Sydney, Nova Scotia, with province-wide travel required to meet client needs.

Responsibilities:

This position combines hands-on electrical work with a commitment to energy efficiency, sustainability, and customer service across residential and commercial projects. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components used in residential energy infrastructure.
  • Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in residential, commercial, and industrial energy systems.
  • Interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications related to energy projects.
  • Ensure all work complies with provincial and national electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades to support energy system installations and upgrades.
  • Oversee and mentor apprentices, ensuring safe work practices, adherence to electrical codes, and the development of technical skills in a supportive learning environment
  • Participate in energy efficiency initiatives, including retrofits and system optimizations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and compliance reports.
  • Travel to various job sites, including remote locations, to support energy projects and emergency repairs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding electrical solutions and energy-saving opportunities.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Certified Red Seal Electrician (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Electrician, including at least Experience in residential electrical is a necessity
  • Strong knowledge of residential codes and practices Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Valid Provincial Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including to remote sites

Compensation & Benefits:

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00AM-4:30PM (35-45 hours/week),
    occasional overtime is required.
  • Work location: On the road, with travel to various sites
