We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Associate/Back Up Machine Operator to work in our Global Headquarters located in Acton, ON, Canada. This is a full-time position is for the day shift which runs from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Job/Position Summary: 

Reporting to the Production / Warehouse Team Leader, the Warehouse Associate/Back Up Machine Operator - Day shiftis responsible for the overall operation of the Glove Dip Line machine in conjunction with the Chemical Engineer and Team Leader, to include, but not limited to: 

Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Production/Warehouse Team Leader, the Warehouse/Production Associate – Day shift is responsible for warehouse duties in any of the designated areas in the warehouse which include LTL, Courier/Shipping, and Receiving, and may be required to assist the Sample Room with warehouse related duties. Production support duties include placing gloves on the dip line, sanitizer production, packing and quality checks, and acting as back up to the Dip Line Operator as required. Training will be provided to act as back up machine operator. 

Responsibilities: 

    • Picking orders using a handheld device – using various warehouse machines to retrieve orders from different rooms and heights while identifying order specifications 
    • Packing / processing orders into appropriate boxes according to sizing, model, order, colour, etc 
    • Shrink wrapping skids, stacking and skid building in a safe manner  
    • Assist with weights and measurements on products when needed  
    • Verifying orders and marking special orders with the appropriate labelling 
    • Loading trucks in an efficient manner while following all regulated safety precautions  
    • Cycle/inventory counts as required 
    • Assist with unloading/receiving of trucks  
    • Assist with customer pick-ups as required 
    • Place gloves on dip line, assist with sanitizer production and / or production activities as required 
    • Back up Dip Line Operator as required including batching chemicals for the dip line and cleaning totes 
    • Follow and comply with all operational and safety procedures / policies stated in the Employee Handbook, Safety, Customer Service, Quality and Environmental programs  
    • Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications & Requirements: 

    • Minimum of one-year previous warehouse experience preferred including experience with handheld devices  
    • Strong communication skills are essential to be able to work with all departments and outside contacts  
    • Math skills required to ensure order accuracy – testing is part of the recruitment process  
    • Forklift, Walkie, WAVE, Tow Motor and Man-Up licenses will be required – training provided, experience/previous license preferred.  
    • Basic Computer skills essential  
    • Ability to lift up to 40lbs routinely during regular duties along with bending/walking/pushing/pulling  
    • Team Player and works well in a cross-functional environment  
    • Ability to work independently without supervision  
    • Position requires capability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive high arm movements and bending  
    • Successful candidates need to be comfortable in warm working conditions  
    • Flexibility to work late and/or afternoon shift preferred  
    • Ability to work safely in following all procedures including chemicals procedures  
    • Follow and adhere to company’s policies and procedures
