Superior Glove Works Ltd.is currently hiring for a Warehouse
/ Production Lead Hand – Afternoon Shift
will work out of its Global Headquarters located in Acton ON Canada. Afternoon shift runs from 3:30 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays.

More about the role:

Reporting to the Production / Warehouse Team Leader, the
Warehouse / Production Lead Hand – Afternoon Shift, is responsible for providing additional support to the Team Members on shift and/or in specified areas. The
Lead Hand will ensure the workflow of Team Members is conducted in accordance with the direction of the Team Leader and work is executed in a safe and timely
manner. The role will also act as back up to the Team Leader when away.

This individual is highly skilled at communication, organization, and has a high attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have
shown initiative, proven collaborative and supportive traits, and dedication in previous role(s).

Responsibilities:

  • As Lead Hand this role is responsible for working along side team members in all areas including production, warehouse and manufacturing machinery.
  • When working in the warehouse, the role will be picking and packing orders, using warehouse equipment, performing inventory counts as needed, and loading trucks safely and efficiently.
  • In production areas, this role will be verifying and packing orders, performing quality checks, operating packaging machines, and completing finishing tasks like sewing, stamping, and labeling.
  • Cover breaks for the Production Operator when needed, handling tasks such as batch mixing, machine setup, monitoring production lines, troubleshooting, and documenting quality control checks.
  • Function as a Lead Hand by assigning daily tasks, supporting team productivity, monitoring output quality, and reporting daily wins, issues, and progress to the Team Leader.
  • Act as Backup Team Leader when required, leading team meetings, tracking attendance, conducting safety drills, supporting new hire training, and addressing minor shift issues or conflicts.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, following company procedures and promoting a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Health and Safety Supervisory Training
  • Proven and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude to support equipment and machinery issues
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Intermediate computer skills; experience with handheld scanning devices is an asset
  • Forklift and other in-house warehouse equipment licensing required
  • Basic math skills required to ensure order accuracy
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Hands-on, proven experience in most roles on shift
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Post-secondary education/designation (e.g., logistics, inventory control, supply chain) in a relevant field, or a combination of
    relevant training and experience is preferred
  • Expert skills in coaching, mentoring, and developing teams are preferred
