Machine operator, metalworking and mechanical assembler

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished products
  Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
  Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers to perform assembly tasks –
  Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machine
  Perform basic machining and welding operations as required
  Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs
  Operate forklift to transport or position larger parts
  Inspect finished products for proper functioning, quality and adherence to specifications
  Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning
  Make minor adjustments and repairs
  Receive and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist
  Pick, Pack and ship orders accurately
  Document work completed
  Maintain a clean and organized work area

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

• Mechanical knowledge and aptitude
  Manual dexterity and Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
  Experience with soldering, machining, welding, or other related skills is a plus
  Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred
  Handling heavy loads

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
  Monday to Friday
