Job Purpose: Quality control technicians are an essential part of the production team, with the primary responsibility of ensuring the highest quality output and a safe and efficient production floor. Overall responsibility for the Quality performance of the DC Donut Bakery. The QC Technician works cross-functionally with the Production Supervisor, Production Manager, QA Manager and QC Supervisor to successfully deliver on accountabilities and key objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Compliance to Food Safety and Quality System program.
  • Support BRC’s Global standard for Food Safety program and HACCP program.
  • Training of new employees for GMP and Food Safety and Quality program
  • Ensuring food safety and quality of all product and maintaining plant efficiency (minimal waste) and monitoring employee behavior for GMPs.
  • Ensuring that production employees are following all production SOPs(recipes)
  • Perform all temperature checks of fryers, dough weights, filling weights as per product formulations and Finished product Specifications
  • Perform viscosity check of the glaze and chocolate.
  • Support guidance to ensure the product meets quality and product safety specifications.
  • Monitoring for Critical Control point-metal detector.
  • Observed and sign production records
  • Monitor quality performance and establish plans to improve and perform daily operational inspection.
Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of quality standards & Quality tools.
  • Strong listening, Communication skills and ability to provide clear & constructive feedback in a positive manner.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and work as part of a team.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food science or related field is required.
  • Experience in food processing plant with GMP standards is preferred, training will be provided.
