Dutied and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls in priority sequence
  • Medical Payment/transactions/refunds
  • Greet patients appropriately in a friendly manner
  • Checking patients in (OHIP, name, DOB etc)
  • Manage and schedule patient appointments and records
  • Appointment reminder calls
  • Provide patients with appropriate support and guidance
  • Facilitate patient flow through the clinic
  • Log in patient data into EMR
  • Room Patients
  • Take vitals
  • Prepare rooms for procedures
  • Scan, send faxes, filing, photocopying
  • External faxing/calling of referrals
  • Sorting incoming faxes into appropriate mailboxes/files
  • Taking and transferring phone messages
  • Opening mail/sorting through mail and allocating to appropriate mailboxes
  • Filing documents to be scanned
  • Filing patient results (scanned)
  • OHIP doctors error reports
  • Explaining forms (Transfer of records, Roster)
  • Filing/scanning patient medical summaries
  • Follow COVID protocols
Qualifications:
  • Organized and responsible
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication and customer sevices skills
  • Knowledge of Punjabi/urdu/hindi would be a plus
  • Billing experience an asset
  • Knowledge of ACCURO EMR an asset
  • Professional appearance is mandatory
