No, you don’t have to be unemployed.

Everyone can access our services as long as they are looking for employment or training options.
It is not necessary to book an appointment to visit our Employment Resource Centre.

However, if you would like to speak one-to-one with an Employment Advisor it is highly suggested that you book an appointment ahead of time.
Better Jobs Ontario is a program offered by the Government of Ontario to provide funding for training to individuals who have been laid off.

We can provide information about the Better Jobs Ontario program and help you go through the steps involved in submitting the application for funding. However, Centre for Skills Development does not provide the funding.
Yes, we can provide support in identifying labour market trends and researching occupations and industries for employment and training opportunities.
In our employment resource centres, you have access to a variety of resume books and tip-sheets. You can also access our computers for internet research. At each of our locations, Employment Specialists are available to answer any questions you may have about resumes, interviews or any other job search topics.
Our staff is very knowledgeable on a wide range of various community supports/programs for counselling, shelter, food banks, clothing assistance and we can help by suggesting or making referrals as needed to local resources.
Our four Employment Services locations in Mississauga, Milton, Oakville and Burlington are open every weekday.
